FEATURES OF THE IACCS STANFORD 10/OLSAT8 TESTING PROGRAM
                              CUSTOM SCORE REPORT PACKAGE
    Critical, Action-Oriented Information--Stanford 10 helps educators make data-driven decisions. A
range of user-friendly score reports supports teaching and learning and accountability requirements.
    Through the Stanford 10 reports,
Parents better understand their child's achievement level and get direction for home involvement.
Teachers receive specific information for instructional planning for individual students and the class,
and for improving their own teaching.
Administrators obtain critical data to document and monitor the progress of all children and to
disaggregate results according to federal mandates.
National Norms to Reference the K-12 Student Population--Stanford 10's national reference norms
allow educators to compare performance with that of a representative sample of students across the
    country using current information.
Local Norms to Reference the IACCS Student Population--The IACCS Stanford 10/OLSAT8 testing
program offers local reference norms allow educators to compare performance with that of other IACCS
students participating in the testing program using current information.
Developmental Scale to Continually Monitor Achievement--The Stanford Scale expresses student
performance across all test levels of a subtest. For example, the Reading Comprehension subtest is linked
across eleven test levels from Primary 1 through TASK 3, forming one continuous scale that makes it
possible to compare scores from test level to test level. This scale is especially helpful for comparing
student performance in a particular subject area over time. The Stanford Scale offers an objective,
consistent tool to monitor student achievement across years and multiple assessments.
Lexile Measure--The Lexile framework is a tool that allows teachers to match students to specific
texts. It defines and sequences books and other reading materials in terms of difficulty and provides a
way to link students' reading achievement to that scale. This score identifies each student's level of
reading and provides a means to match students to appropriate reading materials. This is an optional
service on the IACCS score reports.
Stanford 10 Supportive Materials--Maximize your Stanford 10 experience with targeted
supplementary materials before testing to help prepare, after testing to help interpret test results,
throughout the year to help teach.
Stanford 10 Support Material for Teachers
Compendium of Instructional Standards: Describes the structure of Stanford 10 according to the
content standards and cognitive processes measured by the items.
Guide for Classroom Planning: Teachers will gain a greater understanding of test results with
the Guide for Classroom Planning. This guide includes sample test questions with annotations
and a complete list of objectives to help teachers understand what is tested and how it is tested.
It shows teachers how to interpret and use test results to group students for instruction, as well
as how to evaluate achievement and set instructional priorities.
Stanford 10 Support Material for Parents
Preview for Parents: Gives an overview of Stanford 10 and explains how parents can help their
children prepare. Brief descriptions and sample questions for each content area inform parents
about the skills and abilities measured. Available in English and Spanish.
Understanding Test Results: Designed for parents and older students. Explains why
standardized tests are given and how to interpret the results. Includes sample score reports.
            Available in English and Spanish.
Stanford 10 Support Materials for Students
Stanford 10/OLSAT8 Practice Tests: Helps students become familiar with test directions, sample
            items, and responding to questions.
KeyLinks--The Connection Between Instruction and Assessment: Allows students to develop
test-taking strategies in answering multiple-choice and open-ended test questions while teachers
evaluate student performance in the content areas. Available for Reading/ Language Arts,
